i am so glad that this game is not canceled after all. the preview videos and screens that i have seen look very promising

Those requirements are a bit too high for the current PC market. I have the game myself, and while it looks good, there really isn’t any practical need for such high specs. I have a 512 megabyte GeForce 8800GTS, and I couldn’t use high-res textures (the video RAM would fill up during load time, and the game would crash). It seems the game doesn’t use system RAM to store any video overflow, which is a shame. I presume that comes from the fact that it was built to be multi-platform compatible, but it would have been nice to see someone spend a bit more time optimizing the game for each of its intended platforms.

That said, it is a fantastic game.

I tried the game, despite what the box says, the need for 512mb for minimum graphics is not necessary, I tried the game with near medium settings and low resolution with a 256mb ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 HD gfx card, 2GHz Dual Core processor, 4GB ram ,and it runs at 30 to 40 frames for me. I guess it means total video memory which like 1.8GB for me

    Damn. I have a high-end AMD 4000+, but no dual-core. I guess I’m SOL eh?

  5. 2 year old pc says:

Sloppy coding due to portability means that you will require “near” top of the line graphics, memory and processing capability.

512mb is likely required, a finely tuned 5200+ duo core (2.8ghz) with 4gb DDR2, and geforce 9800 (256mb) fails in sufficiency.

what get me is they bring out these new game and don’t think about the little guy who can’t afford to by big flashy machines to play game on, because they or there parents has not got the money.

If they want to sell more games think about the little guys and make some games that are compatable with older machines!!!!

  7. Ben says:

I have a RADEON 1600PRO 512MB and running a AMD Dual Core 7750+ 2.7 Ghz w/ 4gb ddr2 ram and I can’t play the level with Stay Puff. Lags too much, like the olden days playing wolfeinstein online (56K). All video settings are to their lowest and I still can’t play. I need to buy a new video card. Also, for some reason, the minimum requirements here do not match what’s indicated in the back of the game’s box ???
